AMU’s Department of Pharmacology Concludes Summer Training for BBAU Students

TNN News : Reinforcing its commitment to academic outreach and inter-institutional collaboration, the Department of Pharmacology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), successfully concluded a one-month summer training programme for Mr. Aryan Mishra and Mr. Anurag, B.Sc. students from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow.
As part of their concluding session, the trainees presented a detailed summary of their learning experience, highlighting key aspects of their training, including exposure to Pharmacovigilance practices, animal experimentation protocols, and the functioning of the Drug and Poison Information Centre (DPIC). Their presentation demonstrated a sound understanding of practical pharmacology and reflected the effectiveness of the department’s structured training approach.
Dr. Syed Ziaur Rahman, Chairman of the Department, awarded certificates of completion along with mementos and publications to the students, commending their engagement and curiosity. The session was attended by faculty members Dr. Ahmar Hasan, Dr. Ammar Khalid, Mr. Gufran Ali, and the department’s PG and PhD scholars.
The initiative reflects AMU’s Department of Pharmacology’s continued efforts to promote academic mentorship, hands-on training, and knowledge-sharing with budding scholars from institutions across the country.
