JMI’s Centre for Distance and Online Education announces Admission and launches the Prospectus 2025-26

TNN News : The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has launched its Prospectus 2025-26 and announced admissions for various distance and online mode programmes. The Prospectus 2025-26 of distance mode education for the academic session 2025-26 was launched on 8th August, 2025.Established in 2002, currently, the CDOE has more than 20,000 learners enrolled into its various programmes.
Vice Chancellor, JMI, Prof. Mazhar Asif and the Registrar, JMI, Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi released the Prospectus 2025-26 in the presence of Prof. M. Moshahid Alam Rizvi, Dean, CDOE and three members of the Prospectus Committee.
It is worth noting that CDOE JMI has initiated the process of admission for the session 2025-26 in distance and online mode for the following much-sought-after programmes: Masters in Hindi, Urdu, English, Education, Geography, History, Islamic Study, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Commerce, MBA, M. A(HRM), and undergraduate programmes including B.Ed., B.A., BCIBF, B. Com, BBA. In addition, CDOE, also offers various diploma programmes of high employability, known as PG Diplomas, available in the areas of Guidance and Counselling, and in Geoinformatics. Responding to the demands and trends in the ever changing contemporary global job market, CDOE provides advanced diplomas in niche areas. The following 7 advanced diplomas are being offered in —-Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Public Policy and Governance, International Relation and Global Governance, Educational Media Production, Mass Media (Hindi), Mass Media (Urdu), and in Taxation.
In its offerings this year, CDOE has introduced two attractive certificate programmes, Certificate in Information Technology and Certificate in Computer Hardware and Network Technology.

The Prospectus provides comprehensive information regarding the admission procedure, programme structure, and learner support services.
Applications for admissions are invited until 31st August 2025 for all the non-entrance test based programmes, while the last date for entrance test programmes, that is, for MBA and B.Ed., is 21st August, 2025.
Appreciating the efforts of the Prospectus Committee, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Asif recommended to the Dean, CDOE to extend the learner support base throughout the length and breadth of the country and increase the student enrollment of CDOE to better serve the nation as per the New Education Policy (NEP). Registrar, JMI Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi congratulated the Dean, CDOE and extended all possible support to the Centre in realizing its objective of catering to the marginalized sections of society.
Prof. Moshahid Rizvi expressed his sincere gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar for their unwavering support in meeting the requirements for academic and structural strengthening of CDOE making the timely release of the Prospectus possible. He also highlighted that it was due to the guidance and encouragement of the JMI administration that CDOE has succeeded in introducing seven new programmes and establishing two new Learning Support Centre in the last 6 months.
By introducing new programmes, CDOE, JMI, reaffirms its commitment to disseminating quality education to far-flung areas of the nation through distance and online mode.
