Study on Neuromuscular Activity in Children by AMU Dental Faculty Presented at International Conference in Sri Lanka
TNN News : Prof. Divya Sanjay Sharma, Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), presented her research paper titled “Neuromuscular Activity of Masticatory Muscles in Children with Functional Mandibular Shift: An sEMG Study” at the 5th International Conference of the South Asian Association of Paediatric Dentistry, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The presentation highlighted the quantitative validation of a methodological component from her PhD thesis. The study was co-authored by Professor Sandhya Maheshwari, Department of Orthodontics, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College, and Prof. Abid Ali Khan, who provided guidance for the electromyography research carried out at the Ergonomics Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, AMU.
Prof. Sharma also chaired a scientific session during the conference.
