AMU Nursing Officer Appointed for Shri Amarnath Yatra 2025 for the First Time

TNN News : For the first time, a nursing officer from the JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been deputed to serve Shri Amarnath Yatra 2025. As per the directive of the central government, Mr. Sampat Raj, a Nursing Officer at the Trauma ICU of JNMCH, has been selected to provide medical services during the pilgrimage.
Mr. Raj will be deployed with the second batch of the Yatra on the Baltal route. He holds expertise in critical care, ICU operations, emergency response, and advanced life support. His prior experience of working in high-altitude regions is expected to be a significant asset in the challenging terrain of the pilgrimage.
The Amarnath Yatra is a religious pilgrimage of immense spiritual and national importance.
