Paramedical College at AMU Achieves Registration Milestone

TNN News : The Paramedical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has achieved a significant milestone with its successful registration by the UP State Medical Faculty, Lucknow. Established in 2021, the college has steadily advanced towards formal recognition, overcoming procedural challenges through sustained efforts.
Prof. Qazi Ehsan Ali, Principal, Paramedical College, informed that the registration process involved multiple stages, beginning with the acquisition of the Essentiality Certificate from the Director General, Medical Education, Lucknow. This crucial step required extensive documentation and verification to ensure compliance with the norms necessary for establishing a paramedical institution.
He further added that following this, the certificate and accompanying documentation were submitted to the UP State Medical Faculty for further action. The registration now formally recognizes the Paramedical College and its B.Sc.

programmes in Optometry, Physiotherapy, Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology, Dialysis Therapy Technology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Operation Theatre Technology.

The registration has been granted retrospectively, effective from the academic session 2021–2022, benefitting the inaugural and subsequent batches. The college has been registered for the academic years 2021–2022 through 2024–2025, and the process for final registration beginning from 2025–2026 is underway, said Prof Ali.
He expressed gratitude for the support of the University administration, particularly the Vice Chancellor, Dean, Faculty of Medicine, and University Registrar.
