Meeting of the Official Language (Hindi) Implementation Committee Held at AMU

TNN News : The quarterly meeting of the Official Language (Hindi) Implementation Committee of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was held today in the Selection Committee Room of the Administrative Block under the chairmanship of Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor M. Mohsin Khan. The meeting focused on accelerating the promotion and development of Hindi within the university and reviewed its current progress.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. M. Mohsin Khan emphasized that the use of Hindi in government offices is not only a constitutional obligation but also a means to make administrative work simpler and more accessible to the general public. He noted that original correspondence, notings, and typing in Hindi are already being carried out within the university. He reaffirmed the university administration’s commitment to the promotion of Hindi and assured all possible support in this regard.
Prof. Tasneem Suhail, Chairperson of the Department of Hindi and Secretary of the Official Language Implementation Committee, delivered the welcome address. She also presented several suggestions to further enhance the effective implementation of Hindi in university offices.
Mr. Asad Ullah Khan, Hindi Officer of AMU, presented the agenda for the quarterly meeting and updated the committee on the progress of Hindi usage in various university departments.
Prof. T.N. Satheesan, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Shamshad Husain, Deputy DSW, Mr Noorus Salam, Finance Officer, Mr. Faisal Fareed, Assistant Controller and Mr. Zeeshan Ahmad from the Public Relations Office Were also present at the meeting.
