Inauguration of Help Centers and Tree Plantation at JN Medical College

TNN NEWS : The Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor Professor Naima Khatoon inaugurated new Help Centers today at the Obstetrics & Gynecology OPD Block and Trauma Center of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College. The initiative was accompanied by a tree plantation drive at the Trauma Center, followed by a meeting with department heads and faculty members in the committee room.
These Help Centers aim to enhance medical guidance and healthcare services for patients and their attendants. At the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, patients can now generate their registration slips upon their queue number appearing on display boards, streamlining the registration process. Similarly, the Help Center at the OPD block will assist patients arriving with stretchers or trolleys, while the Trauma Center Help Center will prioritize emergency care guidance.
During the meeting, Prof. Naima Khatoon discussed the ongoing development of JN Medical College, focusing on infrastructure enhancements and patient-centric healthcare approaches. She emphasized the centers’ potential to improve care quality and expressed appreciation for the dedicated efforts of medical staff in providing exemplary services amidst resource challenges. Prof. Khatoon reaffirmed the university’s commitment to addressing faculty concerns and promoting compassionate patient care.
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Principal, and CMS Prof. M. Habib Raza articulated his vision for JN Medical College to be ranked among the nation’s top five medical institutions. Highlighting the hospital’s significant patient load and surgical activities, he announced upcoming DM and MCH courses in specialized fields and the establishment of new departments, reflecting the college’s expansion plans.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Acting Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Professor Shaheen, and concluded with a vote of thanks from Medical Superintendent Prof. S. Amjad Ali Rizvi. The proceedings were overseen by Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Shahbaz Habib Faridi, and attended by department heads, faculty members, ADMS, GMS, nursing, and paramedical staff.
