Jamia Senior Secondary School Establishes Academic Partnership with IIT Madras

Jamia Senior Secondary School, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, has officially partnered with the IIT Madras School Connect Programme, giving students of Classes IX to XII access to online learning designed to help them explore academic interests and future career paths.

The school gratefully acknowledges the institutional leadership of Prof. Mazhar Asif, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, and Prof. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi, Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia, in supporting an academic environment in which initiatives of this kind can develop.

At the school level, the initiative was taken forward under the leadership and encouragement of Dr. Mohd. Arshad Khan, Principal, Jamia Senior Secondary School, whose support was instrumental in facilitating participation. Ms. Wasiya Siddiqui, PGT Computer Science, made a valuable contribution through her dedicated efforts and sustained coordination. She has been nominated as the school’s Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for programme-related communication.

The programme offers eight-week online certificate courses across Mathematics and Science, Engineering, Computing, Humanities and Management. Its diverse offerings include Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Economics and Finance, Law, Digital Humanities, Ecology and Forensic Sciences. Students can also explore areas such as Electronic Systems, Architecture and Design, Product Design, Biological Systems, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace, and game technology, alongside mathematics and computing courses.

For students of Classes IX and X, these courses can help them identify their interests before choosing Science, Commerce or Humanities in Class XI. Those in Classes XI and XII can explore different fields before deciding on undergraduate courses and career directions.

E-certificates from IIT Madras CODE are awarded upon successful completion of the prescribed requirements, including assignments and examinations.
