AMU Ahmadi School Organizes Week-long Campaign for a Drug-Free Campus

TNN News : As part of the nationwide “Drug-Free India by 2047” initiative under the NashaMukt Bharat Abhiyan, Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenged, Aligarh Muslim University organized a week-long awareness programme titled “Mission Drug-Free Campus”. The campaign aimed to educate students on the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle.
The programme commenced with a special morning assembly session led by Ms. Nudrat Jahan, PGT Physics and Assembly Incharge, who sensitized students to the devastating impact of substance abuse on health, academics, family life, and society at large.
Principal Dr Naila Rashid, along with teachers, and students, took a pledge to contribute towards a drug-free India. Ms. Sana Shamshad, TGT Computer, presented educational videos and real-life stories highlighting the consequences of drug addiction and the importance of government initiatives in combating the issue.
A key feature of the programme was an awareness rally held within the school premises. Students carried posters and raised slogans, reinforcing the message of a drug-free lifestyle and strengthening their commitment to a healthier future.
The initiative created a strong impact among students and echoed the school’s ongoing dedication to the national mission of achieving a NashaMukt Bharat by 2047.
