AMU’s JNMC Organizes Awareness Programme on Heat Stroke and Hyperthermia

TNN News : The Department of Medicine, JN Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University, organized a “Heat Stroke Awareness Educational Programme” at the Heat Stroke Ward (Ward 11) to educate medical professionals and the general public on the timely diagnosis, effective management, and prevention of heat stroke and hyperthermia.
Prof. Mohammad Habib Raza, Principal and Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS), highlighted the critical need for institutional preparedness to manage the rising incidence of heat-related illnesses, particularly during the peak summer months.
Prof. Syed Amjad Ali Rizvi, Medical Superintendent, also spoke on the occasion, sharing insights into the hospital’s proactive measures and emphasizing the importance of continuous training and awareness among healthcare providers.
Dr. Mohammad Saquib Alam made a presentation on “Diagnosis and Management of Hyperthermia/Heat Stroke” focusing on early recognition of symptoms, emergency protocols, and preventive strategies to mitigate the occurrence of heat stroke.
Earlier, Dr. Husaini S. Haider Mehdi greeted the attendees and underscored the objective and importance of the initiative, while Dr. Alina Shujat, Dr. Bushra Waseem, and Dr. Arham Khan felicitated the guests.
