AMU’s ZHCET Hosts Its First-Ever Annual Project Exhibition, Showcasing Innovation and Engineering Excellence

TNN News : In a historic and landmark moment for the Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET), Aligarh Muslim University, the institution hosted its first-ever Annual Project Exhibition today, marking a significant milestone in its 50-year legacy.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Naima Khatoon, who lauded the display of technical creativity and innovation across all engineering branches. Interacting personally with several student exhibitors, she expressed admiration for the projects and the mentorship of the faculty. “The work presented here demonstrates the bright future of Indian engineering and research,” she remarked.
The event brought together over 30 distinguished industry experts, including Mr. Dhanjeet Vadra (Allen & Alvin), Mr. Manish Bansal (Precision Overseas), Mr. Navneet Varshney (Nitya Creations), Ms. Reena Agarwal (Ruva Locks), Mr. Praveen Sharma (Bishen Export), Mr. Brijesh Yadav (DIC), and Mr. Mohammad Hamza (Engineering & Environmental Solution Pvt. Ltd.). All were unanimous in their praise for the students’ work, offering insights and encouragement for future growth.
The exhibition had a competitive edge as well, with three exceptional projects—one from each engineering branch—selected for awards based on innovation, real-world application, and presentation. These winning entries were celebrated for their ingenuity and relevance to pressing global challenges.
AMU Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohsin Khan, also interacted with student innovators. “It is encouraging to see such practical, forward-thinking work by our students. These young minds are shaping the future,” he noted.
The showcased projects covered cutting-edge areas including sustainable technology, artificial intelligence, robotics, smart systems, and healthcare solutions—each reflecting a deep commitment to solving real-world problems through engineering.
Prof. Mohd Muzammil, Principal, ZHCET, commended the students and faculty, stating, “This exhibition is not just a showcase of projects; it is a testament to the innovation and talent thriving within ZHCET.”
Dr. Moina Athar, Exhibition In-charge, highlighted the success of the event, emphasizing, “The dedication and thoughtful approach shown by the students have been truly inspiring.”
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a shared commitment to make the exhibition an annual tradition, celebrating innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
