Education Meets Cybersecurity : Divya Tanwar’s Book Discussion on October 14 at IHC New Delhi

A book discussion on Cyber-Safe Classroom: Digital Literacy for Teachers, authored by Prof. Divya Tanwar, will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Chinar & Willow, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The programme will focus on the growing importance of cybersecurity awareness, digital literacy and child safety in today’s technology-driven educational environment.
Prof. Jasim Mohammad Chairman Centre for NaMo Studies will attend the event as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Ram Avtar Sharma and Mr. S. K. Singh will be the Guests of Honour. Prof. Divya Tanwar, the author of the book, will lead the discussion on the importance of equipping teachers and educational institutions with the knowledge and practical skills required to create safer digital learning environments.
Cyber-Safe Classroom is designed as a teacher’s handbook on digital literacy, with a particular emphasis on cybersecurity, child safety, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the vision of Digital Bharat. It addresses the need to help teachers understand online risks, protect students from cyber threats and encourage responsible use of digital platforms in classrooms.
As digital technologies become increasingly integral to teaching and learning, educators face new challenges involving cyberbullying, online privacy, digital fraud and the protection of children’s personal information. The book seeks to equip teachers with practical knowledge to recognise such risks, promote safe online behaviour and foster a more secure and responsible digital learning culture.
The handbook also highlights the importance of integrating digital awareness into contemporary education, ensuring that technological progress goes hand in hand with student well-being, responsible citizenship and effective teaching practices.
