Kashmiri Youth Junaid Manzoor Dar selected for Ratan Tata Scholarship for Young Authors

CNMS Announces Winner of Ratan Tata Scholarship for Young Authors

TNN News : The Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMS) has announced the selection of a young writer for the Ratan Tata Scholarship for Young Authors. After receiving 97 book proposals from students and researchers across the country, the CNMS jury has chosen Junaid Manzoor Dar, an Alumnus of the University of Kashmir, to write a book on Shri Ratan Tata’s life and contributions.

“The response to this scholarship was overwhelming. We received dozens of proposals from brilliant young minds who admire Shri Ratan Tata’s leadership and legacy. However, we observed a slow response for Hindi proposals, and those submitted did not meet our quality criteria. Therefore, the jury has decided to extend the deadline for Hindi languages proposals by another month, until April 30th, to ensure we receive a high-quality book in Hindi. As of now, only an English proposal has been selected,” said Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Chairman of CNMS.

The book will focus on Shri Ratan Naval Tata’s role in business, philanthropy, and nation-building, aiming to educate and inspire future generations. “This book will showcase how Shri Ratan N Tata’s vision transformed India’s industrial landscape while upholding ethics and social responsibility,” Prof. Jasim Mohammad added.

Jury Member Prof Divya Tanwar stated, “Kashmiri Youth Junaid Manzoor Dar will receive a grant of INR ₹50,000 from the Centre for Narendra Modi Studies to support his research and writing. CNMS will also publish the book to ensure his work on Shri Ratan Naval Tata’s legacy reaches a wide audience and inspires future generations.”

“We are committed to supporting young authors in documenting the stories of great leaders who shaped our nation,” said Jury & Advisory Member Jawaid Rahmani.
