AMU’s Department of Mathematics Gets New Chairperson

TNN News : Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), for the period from July 15, 2025 to March 16, 2028, the date of her superannuation.
A distinguished academic with over three decades of teaching and research experience, Prof. Asma Ali has made significant contributions in the field of algebra, particularly in ring theory, near rings, and module theory. Her areas of specialization include generalized derivations, additive maps in rings and algebras, and group actions on rings.
She has published over 100 research papers in reputed national and international journals and has presented her work at several international conferences across the USA, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Prof. Ali has also edited volumes with leading international scholars, published by Springer.
In addition to her academic achievements, Prof. Ali has played active roles in university administration, having served as Deputy Dean, Student Welfare (DSW), and as Provost of Begum Sultan Jahan Hall. She is a member of multiple national and international mathematical societies and serves on editorial and review boards of reputed journals.
