AMU Scholar Bags Best Paper Award at International Conference

TNN News : Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) continues to scale new heights in academic excellence as Nalini Bhattar, a research scholar at the Advanced Centre for Women’s Studies, brought laurels to the institution by winning the Best Paper Award at the prestigious International Social Research Nexus Conference–2025, held virtually on July 27–28.
Her paper titled “Mobility Inequities: Experience of Female Educational Migrants in Academic Journey”, presented under the theme ‘Sociology and Social Policy ‘, critically examined the challenges faced by female students in accessing educational campuses. The research explored the intersection of physical mobility, psychological stress, and academic performance, offering a nuanced understanding of gender-based disparities in educational migration.
Nalini’s work reflects commitment to advocating for women’s rights and gender equality. Her research, which focuses on Educational Migration in India, sheds light on systemic barriers that impact women’s academic journeys. Her scholarly contributions have been featured in national and international journals, and she frequently writes on gender and education for various platforms.
This recognition reaffirms AMU’s academic standing and its nurturing environment for research that addresses pressing social issues.
