AMU’s Department of Pathology Organizes UG Quiz Competition to Celebrate Doctors’ Day
TNN News : The Department of Pathology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University, organized an undergraduate quiz competition under the aegis of the UP Chapter of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (UP IAPM), as part of its Doctors’ Day celebrations.
The quiz, coordinated by Dr. Bushra Siddiqui, along with Dr. Sadaf, Dr. Umme Aiman, and Dr. Sidra, assessed students individually on various aspects of pathology, including cytology, histopathology, and clinical pathology.
Seemab Zareen secured the first position, while Divyansh Rana stood second. Both students, from the MBBS 2023 batch, will now represent JNMC at the state-level round of the competition.
Prof. Habib Raza, Dean, Faculty of Medicine, and Principal and CMS, JNMCH, presided over the valedictory function held to felicitate the winners, which coincided with the Doctors’ Day celebration. He, along with former Dean and Principal, JNMCH, Prof. Veena Maheshwari, presented the awards to the winners.
Earlier, welcoming the guests, the Chairman of the Department, Prof. Mahboob Hasan, highlighted the significance of Doctors’ Day and emphasized the vital role pathologists play in the healthcare system.
