Lucknow cancer scientist Dr Adria Hasan presented CEI Travel award in US
Lucknow Bureau : Cancer scientist from Lucknow Dr Adria Hasan, who is Postdoc fellow at world-known Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, US, has been given prestigious “Cancer Epigenetics Institute’s C David Allis Travel” award 2025 at the annual function in Philadelphia. Dr Hasan has been pursuing her research in cancer at the Fox Chase cancer center for the last three years. She was also awarded Fox Chase fellowship last year.
Dr Hasan, after completing her Ph.D. from Integral University Lucknow, had gone to the US to pursue further research in the field of cancer. She had also done her M.Tech in biotechnology from this university. The CEI award, instituted in the name of famous cancer scientist C Davis Allis provides opportunity to the receipts to travel in US and abroad for research.
The annual event at Franklin Institute in Philadelphia on March 6 welcomed researchers and scientists to share their work and learn more about the latest discoveries that will bring epigenetics to the forefront of patient care. A major goal of the international symposium was to bring world-class science to a global audience at any educational level. The symposium discussed topics ranging from gene regulation to 3D genomes to aging and therapeutics.
Other recipients of the award were Chloe Azadegan, Millie Coombes, Aidan Douglas, Dharmendra Kashyap (India), Rebecca Smith and Martin Walsh. The symposium keynote was delivered by Anne Brunet, Ph.D., Michele and Timothy Barakett, endowed professor at Stanford University, and Robert Kingston, Ph.D., chief academic officer at Massachusetts General Hospital and professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School. The symposium also included a poster session for in-person attendees. The representatives from pharma companies including Arima Genomics, AstraZeneca, CAMP4 Therapeutics Corporation, Daiichi Sankyo, and VYNE Therapeutics also participated in the function.
